I like the idea of the state supporting artists - I think it says something important about us as a nation - but I agree the hard thing is in getting the balance right. I do think there needs to be ...Great answers Brian. I do think there needs to be a balance betwen supporting newer and 'older' writers.<br />I find as a mid-list writer it is harder and harder to earn money and I can't enter things for 'new' writers but there's little else for me.<br />I'm not in Aos Dána but I could certainly do with the stipend.
