I'm planning on rereading Borges for the first time in twenty plus years.
The leaves on the tree have always haunted me.
Recently I saw a documentary on people with exceptional memories, who could remember the weather and what they ate thirty years ago. He is indeed one of the greats and very much a one-off, to my mind, although he has legions of imitators, from high school kids to Nobel Prize winners themselves. I had the great good fortune to see Borges in a New York appearance many years back, and he was just as he seems to be in his writing. I remember he read that poem about the other Borges, the famous one, who accompanies the more familiar one he has always lived with. I wish I had good enough Spanish to read him in the original. pianomusicmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17048219609941635174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2023956444265128672.post-64202797924577598542012-10-20T18:51:45.816+08:002012-10-20T18:51:45.816+08:00thanks for this, love the sound of that anthology:...thanks for this, love the sound of that anthology:)Words A Dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04423263654771820182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2023956444265128672.post-84349191142648533012012-10-20T17:46:35.301+08:002012-10-20T17:46:35.301+08:00InterestingInterestingRugyinsunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11416815482831584887noreply@blogger.com
