Welcome to all Book Blog Hoppers Feb 10 to Feb 12

Welcome to all Book Blog Hoppers

Elizabeth Bowen
Every Friday Jennifer of Crazy For Books hosts The Book Blogger Hop-The Book Blogger Hop is a great chance to meet new to you bloggers, find some new blogs to follow and gain some great readers for your own blog.   Every week about 275 or so bloggers from all over the world participate.    I have found many excellent new to me blogs this way and gained some wonderful readers.    I follow about 500 book blogs  and am always happy to find more.   If you follow me I will follow you.

My blog for the last few months has been one third Asian literature, one third classics and one third short stories but I do read contemporary fiction also.  Lately I have been getting really into short stories.   Maybe you are like I  was for many years and are not interested in short stories.   All I can say is give them a chance.       I have various reading projects I am working on also.       I just started a new mini-project centering on the work of Elizabeth Bowen.

If you visit me please leave  a comment so I can return the visit-

Every week Jennifer poses an interesting question for us-Here is this weeks question.

"Tell us about one of your posts from this week and give us a link so we can read it (review or otherwise)!"

I like to know a bit about the lives of the writers I admire so this week I read a great biography of Elizabeth Bowen, by Victoria Glendinning.   I loved this book as it tells a great story about a woman passionate about her writing who lived an amazing life.   If you just look at her picture you will get her all wrong!

I admit I don't know who Elizabeth Bowen is, although her name sounds familiar. I'll have a look at your post.

You read such interesting books. I'm afraid I'm too addicted to science fiction to keep up on the classics. Following you now, so maybe the next time a non-fiction slot opens up for me, I can grab something you recommend.
