The Mirador Dream Memories of Iréne Nemirovsky by her Daughter byĖlizabeth Gille (2011

Iréne Nemirovsky was born in Kiev in the Ukraine February 11, 1903, she died at Auschwitz August 17, 1942.  Her most  famous work is Suite Francaise.

Élisabeth Gille was only five years old when her mother, Iréne Nemirovsky, was deported to Auschwitz. She never saw her mother again.    She wrote a fictional memoir as if she were her mother. When she herself in as in her fifties.  Gille has created a wonderful loving tribute to her mother.  I felt my understanding of Nemirovsky was significantly increased by this book.

I totally endorse this book for all lovers of the work and person of Iréne Nemirovsky.
