 The Last Time I Saw Paris -1954 -directed by Richard Brooks- starring Elizabeth Taylor and Van Johnson is loosely based on a set in Paris Story by F. Scott Fitzgerald "Babylon Revisted".  Donna Reed and Eva Gabor, looking beautiful and portrays the other woman to Elizabeth Taylor perfectly.  (I still watch her in the classic camp TV show Green Acres.)

The Van Johnson character moved from New York City to Paris after World War One, hoping it would inspire him to continue his success as an author.  He is suffering from writer's block so he gets a job interviewing celebrities. This is how he meets Eva. He becomes an alcoholic, getting in bar fights, never at home with his wife and daughter.

The plot becomes very emotional bordering on melodrama at times
