Meet Me After The Show- A 1951
Musical Movie directed by Richard Sales - Starring Betty Grable
available on YouTube
The film tells the story of Delilah Lee (Grable), a Broadway star who becomes frustrated by the perception that her producer husband, Jeff Ames (Carey), is solely responsible for her success. When Jeff agrees with this assessment, Delilah is further infuriated and accuses him of infidelity. She files for divorce, but before the ink is dry, she is struck by a case of amnesia and forgets who she is.
With the help of her friends and family, Delilah must piece together her life and rediscover her identity. Along the way, she learns to appreciate her own talents and realizes that she doesn't need Jeff to be a star.
Meet Me After the Show was a critical and commercial success. It grossed over $4 million at the box office and was nominated for two Academy Awards, for Best Music, Song (for "The Continental") and Best Scoring of a Musical Picture.
I enjoyed this quite a bit and will seek out more films starring Betty Grable
