Friday Follow My Book Blog Hop-Week Two


This is my second time to particpate in Follow My Book Blog Friday.    I have been noticing that at least 50 of the  500 or so book blogs I follow join this event every week so I decided why not try it myself.   It seems to be a very friendly event to help book bloggers discover each other and to help everyone build up their follower numbers.


To those new to my blog mostly I post on short stories, Asian Fiction (I am in the Philippines) and classic fiction.    I recently hosted Irish Short Story Week and I am very open to events of all sorts.   I loved reading and exchanging reading ideas.    I love to discover new to me writers.  

Every week the host of the hop, Parajunkee, gives us a question-this week it is -Do you have any one in real life (outside of the book blog world) with whom you discuss books?   No I do not-that is part of why I love the book blog world so much!

    My wife pretends to listen, as does my daughter (10) and occasionally someone at work will ask what I'm reading before their eyes glaze over & they wander off, having fulfilled their social obligation to a fellow colleague.

    New follower passing through. This is my second week participating in the follow my book blog Friday as well.

    I can discuss traditional romance and historical romance with my Mother but when it comes to my love of paranormal and other genres all my reading buddies are online. Either other book bloggers or on sites like Good Reads.

    That is kind of why I started a blog too! Except now after many years I got one of my BFFs to start reading some of the same books. She just has a lot of catching up to do!

    I share most of my romances with my mother but she will not read historical romances--especially Regencies and Highlanders which I love. But she does give me all of her out of print books which totally makes up for it.
