In Observation of Nine Years of Blogging

Today is The Reading Life’s Ninth  Blogaversary.  I recall when I began The Reading Life I told my wife I was going to start a webpage on which I would post about what I read.  She asked me who would read these posts.  I told her I don’t know.  Then she said “what if no one reads them?”  I thought then if my project lasts three months it will be a miracle.

Now after nine years with 3330 posts online,  my posts have been viewed over five million times.  My Blog has connected me to many great people, authors, fellow book bloggers and lovers of reading all over the world.   Blogging helped me to get through a very dark period in my life.  Through membership in The International Book Blog Community I no longer feel isolated.  Through blogging contacts huge new areas of Reading have opened up for me.  I very much appreciate all the free review books I have been given.

I thank The 100 authors who have done Q and A sessions with me.  If anything is of lasting value on my Blog, it is those interviews.

I thank Max u for his kind Amazon Gift Cards

To those who leave comments, you help keep me going.

Of course I hope for nine more years.

To my fellow book bloggers, keep blogging.  Dont close your blogs in these times in which ignorance is worshipped.

I like to imagine a book blogger one day looking back on fifty years of posting.
